Solar project siting in Colorado

In my Scientific Bases for Environmental Change class, I worked as part of a team to research current issues regarding the solar project citing process in Colorado and its effect on the state’s biodiversity. This included:

• Researching existing case studies from the Greater Yellowstone area and New Mexico

• Understanding Colorado Parks and Wildlife’s (CPW) role on solar projects including their data on the state’s High Priority Habitats

• Stakeholder Assessment

• Recommendations into potential mitigation strategies.
